  1. This is by far the best review of HD Aero Inflatable I’ve stumbled so far. I’m interested in getting a paddleboard for myself and this one seems like a great choice. Thanks a lot for this thorough review. So these are actually inflatable? I thought it’s a classic (wooden or PVC) board. How safe is this from puncturing?

    • Thanks Ivan. Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards or iSUPS’s have been around for a good few years now. The technology continues to evolve as you would expect so much so that the better quality boards are near on as rigid as the hard or solid core boards. They’re quite durable so unless you’re hitting a sharp object then all will be well. They also have repair kits so again an easy fix in the event of a genuine problem.

      All the best – Jason.

  2. This is a very interesting article on paddleboards, I really never heard of these before reading about them on your website. So how popular do you think this product is going to be or is, I live in a place without any beaches so that might be why they are not as well-known where I live.

Can you use these on waters in states like Pennsylvania with lakes instead of beaches

    • Hi Jeff. Its definitely popular and is in fact the fastest growing water sport globally. There are boards that suit all waterways but the most popular by far are the standard recreational boards that are used by us regular folk on flat / calm waterways. You can use them pretty much anywhere unless the water is particularly rough. Perhaps take a look at our Guide to SUPing for Beginners if you’d like to know more.

      All the best – Jason.

  3. Thank you for this very detailed review. I have been researching paddleboards for a relative and will send them your review. I think this particular paddleboard would be a great option for them.

    • Thanks Amanda. There are a bunch of options out there so research is always great. If you take on board the skill level of the paddler, their budget and the type of paddling that they will likely be doing then that should be a good starting point. Happy to assist if you need any pointers.

      All the best – Jason.
